About us

The Career Office of the Faculty of Communication at Marmara University operates with a focus on “next-generation career development,” aiming to enhance students’ professional knowledge, encourage critical thinking, and prepare them for professional life. This new-generation approach to career development emphasizes personal growth and guides students in gaining professional competencies.

In this context, the office provides career-oriented development trainings, career fairs, informative field visits related to studying abroad, meetings with professionals from the field to reinforce knowledge, internship placements, and CV preparation support.

Student representatives are designated in all classes from first to fourth year. This structure ensures that students are promptly informed about job offers and training programs. During the application process, the Career Office monitors and supports both the employer and the student directly.

Support is also provided for human resources interviews.

Internship Support

In coordination with the university's Career Center, our office collaborates with institutions and organizations offering internship opportunities during career day fairs. In addition, special applications are received for departments within our faculty. Various talks and networking events are organized to ease students’ entry into the job market and to facilitate their interaction with professionals from both white-collar and blue-collar sectors.

Job Postings

A dedicated workspace has been established within our faculty where students can conduct job searches. Guidance is provided on processes and websites they need to follow to seize job opportunities. Students are supported to ensure they follow up properly.

In the 2023–2024 academic year, a total of 20 applications were received from 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students. The table below shows the placement of these applicants into institutions for internships, employment, or participation in personal development programs. Some of the candidates are still in the exam and interview stages.
